As an Austin, Texas newborn lifestyle photographer, there is something so intimate and amazing about conducting sessions in client homes. I have found that everyone feels relaxed and at ease. Remembering back to my own newborn mom days, it’s tough to get everyone out the door sometimes. This connective style of photography allows for a truly laid back, personal experience.
Baby Isabel’s session was nothing short of magical. When I first arrived, big brother Aidan was admittedly a little bit shy. It’s always intimidating to have a stranger in your space, especially after such a big transitional time of bringing home a new family member. Aidan quickly warmed up, though, and I had SO much fun with this sweet family.
One of the reasons I love newborn lifestyle photography so much is because there is zero pressure for the baby to be anything other than who they are. Asleep? Awake? Wanting to be held? Ok with being put down? We can do it all. It’s a very laid back, emotive experience. There are no expectations for baby to stay asleep or perform.
Sweet Isabel wanted to be nursing in her mom’s arms for much of our session – so that’s precisely what we captured! Aidan was the total star of the show and was an absolute blast to hang out with. He is beautiful, sweet, intelligent, and curious in the very best way. He was so cooperative and kind to his new baby sister. We snagged some really sweet moments of the two of them that I hope the family will treasure.
I also loved the photos I snagged of Baby Isbael with mom and dad while Aidan took a well-deserved photo break. There is nothing more precious than a family snuggling together, just as they are.
