I absolutely adore Lindsay and her beautiful family. Her and her husband had recently welcomed Miss Marigold Molly to their girl gang, who joined amazing big sister Matilda. Lindsay was just seeking photos of her sweet family that captured them just as they were in this stage of life. As an Austin, Texas newborn lifestyle photographer, that is one of the reasons I am so drawn to this photography style. I love being able to give families tangible memories of who they were in that exact moment in time. Nothing feels staged or stiff – I welcome you to come as you are!
When I first walk into a family’s home, I’ll assess where the best pockets of light are for our session. Sometimes they aren’t always where you think! I often utilize master bedrooms, family rooms, and nurseries. I once did an entire session on a dining room floor, though, and they came out beautifully. It’s all about the connection and the light. You would be surprised how much space matters. Whether your home is large or small, it’ll be the perfect backdrop for our session. We held Lindsay’s session in her master bedroom because it had incredible light and the perfect amount of space for us.
Marigold’s outfit from Little Luna and her top knot from Top Knot Co are part of my client closet and are available to use for all newborn sessions at no extra charge. So is our Moses Basket from Design Dua and letter board!
Marigold was a little older than the newborn phase, so we got some really great expressions and smiles. That’s another beautiful thing about lifestyle photography – it isn’t too late! You and your family are welcome at every stage, just as you are, and we will adapt that session to fit you perfectly. See some of the highlights from our session below!
