I met Adriana through a mutual friend, but I had heard about her blog and followed her before I met her in person. As a mom blogger, myself, I always love following other bloggers in our city – especially when they keep it real and vulnerable. Adriana runs Jack’s Mom in Austin, where she blogs about her everyday journey of being a mom of her two sweet boys, Jack and Galen. I have always enjoyed how raw and heartfelt her posts were. As I became her friend and got to know her on a deeper level, we also discovered that we share a lot in common when it comes to other pieces of motherhood, especially suffering from anxiety and having a lot on our plates. It’s nice to meet other moms who understand the hustle of business around motherhood, especially when we work some wonky hours from our couches!
Adriana’s session was held at Commons Ford Ranch Park, one of my favorite family photography locations in Austin. The light is dreamy, the backdrop doesn’t feel quite like Texas, and I always feel so inspired when I shoot here.
Adriana is the type of client who is a breath of fresh air. She and her family truly understand the meaning of “come as you are.” Though they looked absolutely amazing in their outfits and totally worked it in front of my lens, Adriana is the type of laid back mom who genuinely wanted me to capture this season of her family’s life organically. When her boys wanted to run, we chased them. When they wanted to play, we played. We captured the true essence of her sweet little family, and I had an absolute blast at our session. It felt just like I was hanging out with friends.
